Alumni,

I am right now serving in the Chaplaincy. I was led to Christ by a soul winner from TTU in 1984 and then called to preach shortly after. I graduated from TTU in 1993, met my wife there and have five wonderful children now which all came while I was attending Temple Baptist Seminary. I graduated from Temple Baptist Seminary in 1999 with the M-Div. I am now working on my Doctorate at Temple Baptist Seminary.

I am upset about a lot of things in this generation. However, I must admit that I have recieved the best education in the world. There is not a week that goes by in which somebody does not get saved in my office. With all of its faults, and it does not have more than any other institution, God is still at work.

Dr. Roberson wrote me while I was in Iraq and I will never forget what he wrote, in fact, I saved the letter and I should probably put it in a frame. He wrote, "Let the Holy Spirit do your bidden." This was encouraging because some were trying to get me relieved for preaching the gospel. But I believe that this also goes for TTU and TBS. We as Alumni must led the Holy Spirit do our bidden.

Jesus said, "But that which ye have already hold fast till I come" (Revelation 2:24).

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!

Obama is simply upset that the light of examination being shed on his fanciful policies that are leading us to our own demise. Please do not confuse him with the facts.

Thank you for your comment. Your observations are not without merit. Unfortunately, just putting "Distinctively Christian" on an institution does not make it so. However, when compared with the massive amount of graduates between 1946 and 1980, there is a greater percentage of people who served the Lord in ministry and missions. In the history of any institution, there will be those who bring reproach and disrepute upon the institution. Yet, those who have modeled the philosophy and purpose must not be overlooked or forgotten. I thank the Lord for many Godly people, who have been a product of TTU, that have had a tremendous impact on my life. As previously stated, I do regret that TTU has forsaken its original philosophy and has dipped its flag into the well of modern compromise. No one has ever become more effective in reaching the world, by becoming more like the world.
