Pastor Wynn is married to Kathy Wynn.  Marty Wynn and Kathy Smith met while students at Tennessee Temple University and were married on July 7, 1979.  They have two children, Stephanie and Stephen.

Stephanie graduated from Pensacola Christian College in 2004 with a Music Education degree.  She was married to Daniel Slavy on June 23, 2008.  Daniel is a full-time student at Columbus Baptist College and majoring in Pastoral Ministries.  Both Daniel and Stephanie are involved in the ministry of the church.  Stephanie is the church pianist, teaches Speech and English in the college, teaches in Sunday School, and offers instruction in piano and strings.  Dan serves in the bus ministy, attends the college, teaches Sunday School and preaches.

Stephen attended Lighthouse Christian Academy and then earned his bachelor degree in Missions at Columbus Baptist College in 2006.  After a debilitating fall in February 2005, he was partially paralyzed and sustained a back injury.  During his recovery, Stephen followed the leadership of the Holy Spirit in planning and developing the children’s ministry of the church.  The Lord has gifted Stephen in children’s and youth ministry.   The Lord has provided the workers, under his leadership, to begin the Discovery Kids children’s ministry, the Youth Image junior high ministry, and the Teen Focus senior high ministry.  Because of the development of the children’s ministry, the church purchased a sixty-six passenger bus for working with the inner-city children.  The Lord has used this ministry in reaching both children and adults.  Many have been reached with the gospel.  Today, Stephen still has no feeling in his right leg, and pain in his back, but the Lord’s sustaining grace is readily evident in his life.

It is a blessing to be able to serve as a family in the ministry of the Lord’s service.  We are grateful for the work He has entrusted us to do.

Family Memory

The following link is to a PDF of a scanned file.  It is a poem written by Silvia Wynn, my grandfather.  I found it after my mother went home to be with the Lord.  I was looking through some old song books, and on the inside back cover of one book was the handwritten poem.  My grandmother passed away in 1956, and the content of the poem would seem to indicate it was penned shortly after her death.
